The CHT Scholarship Program
The Kathleen Davern scholarship fund was established from a bequest made to CHT by Kathleen Davern, a retired HISD teacher and member of CHT. This year, the Congress of Houston Teachers will award ten $1500 scholarships to children of CHT members, including one $1500 student scholarship to be awarded in the name of Dick Miller and his wife Jeanette. Dick was a long-time HISD teacher, past CHT President and first CHT Executive Director.
Also, ten $500 scholarships will be awarded to HISD educators who are CHT members, including one funded by Dearborn & Creggs Investments and one funded as a memorial gift by the family of CHT founding member Renee Feeney.

I was ecstatic when I received the news that I was awarded the Congress of Houston Teachers scholarship. I am indeed fortunate to have received this award...It will be an extremely busy and expensive summer for me. This scholarship award will help.
